Venus StartupScreen
This is a rather cool startup screen I made from a NASA/JPL image of Venus created from data from the Magellan Spacecraft. I found the image on a local BBS, not at Nasa's site, so don't ask me for a URL where I found it.
I simply cut out and maybe blew up a litte a 640x480 chunk of the image. I added an anti-aliased "Welcome to Planet Macintosh" word by word using Debump. And pasted in the oversized earth for neat effect.
Feel free to edit, alter, redistribute, enhance this graphic. I made it on my trusty Performa 450 w/4 MB of RAM (soon to be 8MB).
As I am sure you know, rename the file StartupScreen and place it in the system folder, or use StartupFrills (like I do) to rotate between it and your other favorite startups.
This graphic will look horid without 16 bit grapihcs (thousands of colors) or better.
